How to play Goal

  1. Pick your pitch. 3, 4 or 5 lanes per column — fewer lanes means deadlier defenders and faster-compounding payouts.
  2. Kick off. Set a bet and tap a lane in the bottom row — the first tap places the bet and makes your first move. One defender hides in every column.
  3. Dribble or bank. Each clean lane raises your multiplier (the ladder is printed beside the pitch). Bank any time after the first column — or get tackled and lose the bet.
  4. Clear all seven? Shoot. The goal hides in one lane. Score and the payout multiplies by the lane count; the keeper saves the rest. Or skip the shot and bank the full-field win — your call.

One honest detail: every defender lane and the goal lane are drawn uniformly at random the moment you bet. The pitch is fixed before your first touch, and the board shows you all of it when the round ends.

The real payout ladder

The exact ladder this game runs on — printed in full, nothing hidden. Each column survival is simply (lanes − 1) ÷ lanes, and the payout compounds by the reciprocal:

Columns cleared3 lanes (67%/col)4 lanes (75%/col)5 lanes (80%/col)
11.46x1.29x1.21x
22.18x1.72x1.52x
33.27x2.30x1.89x
44.91x3.07x2.37x
57.37x4.09x2.96x
611.05x5.45x3.70x
7 (full field)16.57x7.27x4.63x
Score the shot49.72x29.07x23.13x

The shot is priced EV-neutral: it pays ×lanes at a 1-in-lanes chance, so "always shoot" and "always bank" earn identical long-run results. Multiply any cell by your bet for the payout — 100 coins through the 3-lane full field pays 1,657.

Goal strategy, in three honest sentences

Decide your banking column (and whether you shoot) before you kick off — mid-run nerves make expensive decisions. Use lane count as your variance dial: 5 lanes to grind, 3 lanes to hunt the 49.72x story. And since every stop point is priced from its true odds, no column is "the smart one to stop at" — pick yours for the feeling, not the math.

Goal FAQ

How is this different from the football games called "Goal"?
Different genre entirely. This is the casino-style Goal format (popularized by Spribe's Goal and similar "originals"): a grid of lanes, hidden defenders, and a compounding multiplier — a betting game with football theming, not a football simulator. Here it runs on virtual coins with no real money.
Which lane count should I pick?
3 lanes (Hard) is the volatile pitch: each column is a 1-in-3 tackle, but seven clears pay 16.57x and a scored shot 49.72x. 5 lanes (Easy) survives 80% per column for gentler, smaller steps. Every setting is priced fairly from its odds — pick the ride, not the "best" one, because there isn't one.
Should I take the shot or bank after clearing the field?
Mathematically it makes no difference — the shot pays ×lanes at a 1-in-lanes chance, so its expected value exactly equals banking. It is a pure style choice: bank the certain win, or trade it for a 1-in-3 (or 4, or 5) chance at lanes-times more. Decide before the round starts and you will never agonize mid-game.
Are the defenders placed fairly?
One defender per column and the goal lane are all drawn uniformly at random the instant you bet — the pitch is fixed before your first touch and never reacts to your picks. The board reveals every defender when the round ends, so you can always see the run you were up against.
Is this Goal game real money?
No. Virtual coins only — nothing to deposit, nothing to cash out, no prizes. Same format as the real-money versions, minus the money. For adults 17+.
